Only one category of membership, that of FULL!It is possible to become a member to the Institute after invitation by a member or the AOI executive; then provision and acceptance of referees, OR Provision of referees list to the legal officers with subsequent acceptance of these referees. All applicants & continuing members must strive to a commitment- for ethical practice
- research and/or teaching and
- active involvement in Orthodontics.
Applicants must provideTo fulfill membership each applicant must put forward to the legal officers, a minimum of 5 written, notarised references for record. The references must include professional and personal references; preferrably with inclusion of 2 non-professional referees from their local community. No references are to be from the current Executive of the Australian Orthodontic Institute.
Applicants must have BDSc or equivalent tertiary dental qualification[s]. OR Miscellaneous lay or professional persons may be admitted as members, as and where/how appropriately considered by the Executive.
